How to Download Your FRRO Registration Certificate Online

If you're a foreign student planning to study in India on a long-stay visa, one of the first steps after arriving is to complete your FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office) registration. This registration is mandatory and confirms your legal stay in the country for educational purposes. Once you complete the registration, you receive an FRRO Registration Certificate, which is a crucial document needed for everything from residence verification to university documentation.

What Is the FRRO Online Portal?

Step 1: Log In 

  1. Go to the FRRO Online Portal website.  

  2. Click “e‑FRRO” or “Services.”  

  3. Choose “Foreign Registration.”  

  4. Enter your username and password.  

  5. Click “Login.” 

Step 2: Find Your Application 

  1. After logging in, go to “My Applications.”  

  2. Look for the number you got when you did FRRO registration for foreigners.  

  3. Check if the status is “Approved.” 

Step 3: Download the Certificate 

  1. If the status is “Approved,” click “Download Certificate.”  

  2. A PDF will open in your browser.  

  3. Click the download icon.  

  4. Save it as “FRRO_Certificate.pdf.”
